Iswariya Mani

(she/her/hers)
Research Assistant

I am a physician originally from India. I worked as a research scholar in the UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. I was involved in various clinical trials focusing on type 2 Diabetes and obesity in children and young adults. One of my notable works is understanding the race and neighborhood disparities of kids with type 2 diabetes during the pandemic. My long-term goal is perusing an Internal Medicine residency in the US, focusing on public health to serve the community at its best. Outside work, I enjoy watching documentaries, jogging, and my new hobby is exploring the isles of Target, Giant Eagle etc. with my 8-month-old baby girl.
