Dr. Traci Kazmerski and her team looked at clinician attitudes and practices on pregnancy planning and care in cystic fibrosis (CF) and found that:
- As people with CF are living longer, more are considering pregnancy
- Clinicians should be initiating discussions surrounding pregnancy early and often
- Variability in CF clinician comfort and management with pregnancy care in CF exists
- Future studies evaluating the maternal-fetal effects of CF therapies are needed
