Shannon Mitchell, MPH, MSW is passionate about reducing health disparities among women Veterans, transgender Veterans, and nonbinary Veterans. The studies that she currently works on focuses on improving women Veteran’s reproductive health care, increasing access to contraception, and understanding Veterans’ experiences of abortion. Other topics that Shannon cares about involve LGBTQIA+ mental health and Intimate Partner Violence.

In Shannon's free time you can find her walking with her mini-dachshund Finn, playing pickleball at Schenley, or playing recreational sports through Stonewall Sports.
